These dedicated individuals would serve two-year terms capped at a maximum of three consecutive terms. This thoughtful provision ensures a blend of experience and renewal, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives while maintaining stability. The limited term length also provides voters with the option of removing elected leaders who are not adequately addressing the citizens’ needs.

These limits are set up in the municipal charter. Citizens are the only ones with the ability to modify the charter, ensuring the government structure is adhered to, and that the local government remains the servant of the people.
